Review of KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker 2021

What's a Cold Brew Coffee Maker?

You want to start the morning with a cup of hot coffee, but sometimes the weather just gets too hot to fully enjoy it.

You know you have a busy day, and you need caffeine to get you going. What should you do? If you have a cold brew coffee maker at home, you can easily make a cold and refreshing coffee brew.

Cold brew coffee makers are designed to create a well-brewed cold coffee. What others often mistakenly does is to put ice on their hot coffee to chill it. What it really does is dilute the coffee, compromising its flavor.

Cold Brew Coffee Maker

While hot coffee makers use heat to brew, cold brew coffee makers use time. It takes around 6-24 hours to get a well-brewed cold coffee. So if you're looking to make one, just plan ahead.

How Does it Work?

The process is straightforward. First, you put your coffee in the coffee filter. Next, add water in another container. Put the coffee filter inside the bottle containing the water, mix, and brew it. All that's left to do is put it in the fridge and let it chill.

Iced Coffee vs. Cold Brew

Iced coffee is hot coffee that has either been chilled or has had ice cubes added. Heat is used to brew the coffee, which gives its distinct bitter taste.

Cold brew is less acidic because it's not exposed to heat. So if you're tummy tends to react to acidity, you should try out cold brew coffee.

Cold-brew coffee also contains more caffeine compared to its hot counterpart.

When you think about KitchenAid, the first thing that would come to your mind isn't coffee makers. But they also have come up with a really great cold brew coffee maker product.

The KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker offers a lot and saves you a lot of money as an alternative to expensive iced coffees.

How Well Does it Work?

Design

The KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker is compact by design. It easily fits in your refrigerator. It's made of durable stainless steel and thick glass. The handle is metal, giving it a slick look overall.

On the inside, the glass container can hold up to 28-ounces of delicious coffee concentrate. You won't have to buy paper-filters because the filter is made of stainless steel. All you have to do is wash it and it can be used again.

How to Use

Even if you're new to cold brew coffee makers, you'll find using this product easy.

Just fill the stainless steel filter with your ground coffee. There's a line indicator on your filter that will tell you how much ground coffee you need to fill.

Place your filter (with coffee in it) on the glass container. Next, pour water over your ground coffee. It also comes in with a user manual, and even if you lost it, you could read it from their website.

There's also a line indicator on the glass container to tell you how much water you need to pour in.

Let the ground coffee sit still and filter with the water. Put it inside the refrigerator and wait for around 6-24 hours.

The brew time is critical. The amount of time the coffee brews gives out a different flavor. I found out that the longer you wait for the coffee to brew, the better taste it will be. I usually wait for at least 12 hours for the coffee to brew.

Having left enough time for your coffee to brew, it's time to make the coffee mix.

What you need to do is pull out the stainless filter.

Place the filter on top of the glass container and let it drain.

It should clear out coffee sediments from your coffee mix.

Next, prepare your glass with ice and use the front dispenser to fill your glass with the coffee mix.

You can add sugar, milk, or creamer depending on how you want your cold-brew coffee.

The KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker can make around 14 cups of coffee.
